Toney & I spent the last weekend of April down in Tampa, Fl, celebrating our good friends wedding!
We had such a lovely time, the wedding, weather & company were all perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. I met my friend Paula right here on my blog around August last year & Toney and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Paula and her now Husband Eric since hurricane Irma last September.
We arrived in Tampa Friday afternoon where we checked into the Hilton Saint in Petersburg which we highly recommend for anyone looking for places to stay around that location! The Hilton was perfectly located in the St Petersburg // Clearwater area, perfect distance from everywhere we aimed to visit that weekend. Toney had booked us a one bedroom suite for the weekend which was beautiful, we had breakfast included, free parking, use of the pool & facilities as well as the hotel restaurant which was delicious. Feel free to contact me if you want any details, you can also book with most Hilton hotels through Ebates with up to 12% cash back and $10 signup cash back if you follow this link!
I’ll post my pregnancy wedding style for the wedding day below for you all to see along with some pictures of my hair, make-up. At the end of April I was five months pregnant and although I’m not huge I’m definitely showing and because I’ve always been so petite I can tell I won’t be able to fit in a lot of my clothes soon! Still hoping to stay reasonably well dressed during my pregnancy so if y’all would be interested in reading about my maternity clothing finds let me know!
Mr & Mrs
Paula & Eric attended our wedding April 3rd and then we attended their wedding April 28th! As you can see from the pictures below they got married at such a beautiful location in Tampa, literally right on the beach with the reception next door which had a balcony view of the ocean where you could see the dolphins! How perfectly romantic?!
While the bride & groom were having their wedding photographs taken we were up on the balcony for cocktail hour. As you walked up the stairs to the balcony the atmosphere was SO beautiful, they had someone playing steel drums on the balcony overlooking the ocean, hors d’oeuvres being served and a canoe literally full of drinks! They had your name attached to a shell with your table number on which was in a little sand tray, which of course I’ve kept as a keepsake!
Their reception was just as beautiful. We sat indoors, (again with the ocean view!) as the new Mrs & Mrs entered the room for their first dance. What is it about the first dance and speeches that are so beautiful to watch?! There’s something about weddings which I love, watching two become one and seeing them celebrate their love for one another.
The following day we had breakfast at our hotel, checked out and then headed over to Treasure Island to spend some time at the beach with the newly weds before we headed home.
Perfect end to a perfect weekend!
