The past eighteen months has been the craziest time of my life, no doubt the best time of my life too.Β

May last year my whole life turned in a new direction, since then I’ve achieved so many milestones that I never thought I would by my age (I’m sure Toney would agree to this too) and it seems were in no rush to slow down as were about to embark on our next mile stone… I’m so excited to share with you all our amazing newsΒ that Toney & I are expecting our first baby! We can definitely say for sure 2018 will be a year to remember!

Journey of a Lifestyle
A new page in our Journey

Our little one is due in September & we couldn’t be more excited. Starting this new journey together, with my husband and best friend has already been so wonderful & I’m so looking forward to all the chapters to come.

I can’t wait to share aspects of our new journey with you all as you’ve all been so supportive in our journey so far. I’ll be sharing some of the details from the first trimester soon, so keep an eye out for that & of course I hope your all excited to keep updated along the way!

    1. Thank you! I’m sure it is, no doubts about that at all! Any advice haha? – they say not to listen to what everyone tells you while your pregnant as everyone always has “something to say” but I haven’t no annoying comments! (yet).
      Thank you for reading also!

      1. My best advice is trust your instinct! Here’s a few others:
-You probably won’t sleep when the baby sleeps even though everyone tells you to, but try to once or twice. πŸ˜‰

-Ask for help when you need it.

-Make sure you eat! If you don’t nourish yourself you won’t be able to take care of the baby.

-Don’t over react (especially as they get mobile). Let the kid move and discover things, obviously, as long as they won’t cause harm. I have two family members that panic if someone is cooking in the kitchen and want all kids out. That’s crazy. They don’t learn anything that way. Teach them to be careful, but not overly, from an early age.

-Last, I’m probably in the minority, but remember, some germs are good! Sure people need to wash their hands but they don’t need to scrub them. It’s okay to expose little ones to build up their immunity. “Dirt don’t hurt.” LOL

It’s an incredible journey! Enjoy every minute of it!

        1. Ah! I love all of your advice!!! Thanks so much!
I’ve been reading a few mom blogs who have recently had their first baby and I definitely think I’ll be one of those Mum’s that won’t be able to sleep when the baby’s sleeping as I’ll be so scared! Which is crazy as I’m a nurse and worked in neonates!
I totally agree about the germs too! Unless you have a preemie baby which is totally different but they should be yes!
My pet hate is people that smell like cigarettes so I know I’m going to hate people who smoke wanting to come and see the baby – what do you do then! haha!

It’s already amazing feeling kicks and movements! Problem is they grow up too quick!

          1. The moves and kicks are such a wonderful feeling!

They certainly do grow up too quickly! My baby just turned 7 a few weeks ago and my daughter is closing in on 5. Hard to believe.

Preemie is definitely another case. Hopefully you don’t experience that!! I’m sure your nursing instincts will help you out a ton.

          2. Oh wow! I bet those years have just flown by!

My sister had a her baby 8 weeks early, really hope we don’t have to go through that for sure! Fingers crossed! What a journey it will be πŸ™ŠπŸ˜Š lovely talking with you again! X
