Oh how time fly’s!
On April 3rd, I got married to the greatest guy possible at the happiest place on earth, Walt Disney World! It was truly the happiest day of our lives, so far! A big shout out to Disney & our wedding planner, Sara, for helping to create our perfect day. It couldn’t have gone better or been more magical!
The morning of…
Myself and my bridal party spent the night before the wedding at a hotel in Orlando. We wanted to be close to Disney for getting ready, transportation and photos. On the morning of the wedding we started the day pretty early around 07:30 am for hair & make-up, which you can read more about here. Although we had an early start it was still a lovely, relaxed morning for us girls, eating breakfast while getting pampered!
The Kyle Lynn Weddings team arrived at 8 am to start our hair & make-up. They started hair on my two bridesmaids & maid of honor who were having their full hair done and then began on mine. They only began with the curls, once they were rolled they started our make-up. My younger bridesmaids and flower girl had their hair done by Mum and a touch up make up along with my Mum and sister-in-law. Once all the girls make-up was finished they began finishing off our hair into the styles we wanted.
My bridal party all had their hair curled & braided into a side bun with their fringe out if they wanted.
I chose to have my hair half up / down with curls. Toney’s always preferred my hair down and it was one of the styles I’ve always loved when looking around for bridal hair styles. They worked my hair piece into my style and then my sister added my veil once it was finished.
We had finished hair & make-up perfectly on time and then our Disney photographers, Mike & Tina, arrived at our hotel room for “getting ready” photos. They took some photos of myself & the girls getting our finishing touches done, my dress, shoes & accessories.
The limo arrived at 1 pm to take us over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for further photos!
Meanwhile Toney & his groomsmen had already been picked up by the limo at this point and transferred over to the Grand Floridian for the groomsmen group photos. Disney stage and communicate everything to each other so there’s no chance of us seeing each other before the ceremony. As me & the girls were arriving for our pre-ceremony photos Toney was being taken over to the wedding pavilion.
Arriving at the Grand Floridian was the most surreal thing! As I got out the limo everyone was looking at me, I felt like a celebrity which I didn’t really like but just enjoyed the moment! Best of all when I got out the limo the Disney Wedding’s famous, Richard was there to greet me & help with my dress throughout the photos!
Cutest gentleman ever!
We walked through the hotel lobby over to the staircase for photos. While Toney had been taken across to the wedding pavilion, my Dad and Nephew (ring bearer) stayed at the Grand Floridian for photos with the girls.
We did lots of different photos, as individual and family photos then more by myself from different angles on the staircase. Just before we left we walked over to the main lobby for a few photos next to the piano.
Then over to Disney’s wedding pavilion for the ceremony!
