Hey everyone!

I haven’t been blogging as much as I’ve wanted to lately, life’s been pretty busy as you can imagine with planning a wedding only 50 days away!!! I wanted to update you all as I always enjoy doing and maybe because we’ve been so busy but it feels like loads has happened over the past few weeks.

Toney and I had some disappointing news that we lost the house we fell in love with. For us this was a home we could picture ourselves being in for many years to come & starting a family in so it was really upsetting for us. However everything happens for a reason and I sure believe there is a path planned for us as we have new plans for the year to come following all these upsets and changes.

After finding out we lost the home we fell in love with Toney’s Dad asked us; “what’s keeping you in Florida”? Now apart from Disney (which always a good reason, ha!) there is nothing keeping us in Florida. Toney was born & raised in L.A which he left two years ago for a change of scenery and some of his friends were moving to Florida so he thought why not!

We came to the realization that the world is our oyster! Especially right now! Toney is retired and I can’t start working until I have my nursing license in hand. Although we have a big year ahead of us, surly now is the perfect time to try somewhere new?

We’ve been looking & researching into different states and we’ve managed to favorite Colorado at the moment. We’ve fallen in love with everything we’ve read about the state, the images we’ve seen are enough to convince us. However moving out of state is big enough so we’re planning on visiting after the wedding and early next year for house shopping with we enjoy our time there!

With our Disney wedding only 50 DAYS AWAY (that number is making me very nervous & very excited!) we’ve been busy finalizing on decisions for the wedding. I’ve got my veil and have my hair and make-up trail booked. While in L.A we ordered the final two bridesmaids dresses & Toney and his groomsmen have their suites all purchased. We’ve still got things to check off our list but we’re slowly getting there!

Also while we were in L.A Toney was busy busy getting one of his properties ready for a new Airbnb venture (please let me know if you’d be interested in reading about how we’ve set up with Airbnb!).

Toney & I are still in the process of decorating our home in Florida. We changed our mind on the color scheme in the living area so we’re repainting that at the moment, then to finish the kitchen. I’ve managed to discover some awesome features to add to a room for cheap which completely change the look of the whole room. I will share soon!

  1. Hi Rosie!
I can’t believe it’s only 50 days until your wedding now… it’s so crazy how fast time flies!
So sorry you lost the house of your dreams! Colorado is really beautiful! I hope you find another home you can imagine yourself being in for years where ever you want to be! 💗 The world really is your oyster!

    1. I’m so sorry I didn’t reply to this Hunida! I thought I did! It’s come around so quick! Thank you for your kind wishes 😘❤️

  2. I got knocked back for a job I really want to do today but even though I thought I would feel momentarily sad about it I didn’t – sometimes as you say when things seem like they are falling apart or not moving forward it may be for a reason. That was myfirst thought when I got the rejection email and then got started on my new blog and came across you and lo-and-behold that statement is right here on your blog!
Love to hear about the Airbnb as well!

    1. So sorry for the delayed reply, it’s been a crazy month here. & sorry to hear about your job, I completely agree! Very true! Awesome thanks for letting me know 😁😘☺️
      Have a great weekend! X

  3. I used to live in Colorado, beautiful state. Just be sure to stay out of the bigger cities. Anywhere at the eastern base of the mountains is worth it though. Depends on your style of course. Funny enough I live in Florida now. Definitely curious to see how you have gone about setting up with Airbnb.

    1. So sorry for the delayed reply, been crazy month here! It does look so beautiful. I hope you didn’t leave because of the state 🙈 there are so many things I love about Florida, especially the very relaxed lifestyle.

      1. I left for work. It brought me here. The cost of living in Colorado is exceptionally high though due mostly to the oilfields and the marijuana legality. High demand to get to thay state. Prices went straight through the roof. That’s the only real negative I’m aware of. Otherwise I highly recommend going there. For stay or just play. Tons to do…you’ll never be indoors!

    1. Sorry for the delayed reply! Thanks for letting me know! And thank you, it is isn’t it?! I’ve never done it, but they are for sure worth it, if Toney hadn’t moved from Cali to Florida we would have never met!

  4. Hi Rosie, sorry to hear that you didn’t get the house in Florida, but maybe it wasn’t meant for you all to live there . Plus if you decide to live in Colorado, the cost of living is cheaper. You might not be close to your family there but it sounds like you get along with Toney’s family , and California isn’t that far.You have more than enough to worry about so don’t let this one setback get you down. Things happen for a reason.

    1. Thank you, I agree, there were a few signs so I do believe everything happens for a reason!
Really? I heard the cost of living was higher, which was a concern but then Toney’s lived in LA all his life so shouldn’t be a problem! Yes exactly that was another reason as his sister who also lives in LA would like to move to Colorado too!
