Serene thoughts

I’ve never taken part of the “daily post” thing on WordPress. I don’t know why, maybe because I like to plan my posts ahead, take time writing them etc. but this week I noticed the topic as I was scanning through posts and thought of how hectic mine and Toney’s lives are right now so how serene moments are appreciated much more.

Oxford dictionary describes the word “serene” as “calm, peaceful and untroubled; tranquil”, that definition could be translated so differently person to person. When I think about what makes me feel serene the first thing that comes to mind are locations I’ve visited which I’ll share some of the places that are serene to me below.

Mt Baldy, Los Angeles, California

Lake Eustis, Florida

Sheep walks, Enville, UK

Death Valley National Park

Silver Springs State Park, Florida

  1. Beautiful! Just beautiful. I’m jealous. Lol.

I never have a camera handy to capture moments like these, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve always appreciated the beauty of nature.

And you’ve captured it so marvelously! Good stuff!!

    1. Thank you for a lovely comment! ๐Ÿ˜˜ I mostly take mine with my iPhone and they always seem so serve well! I took a photo of our family Irish wolfhound and when she past away my dad had it enlarged into a canvas and the shop that did it said he could go very large with it due to the quality of the photo!
Yes! Love taking walks and enjoying the views ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

    1. Thank you! I wondered that too, I thought it was because of the heat but at the visitors
Center it stated it was called Death Valley because a group of pioneers got lost there in the 1800s. Only one of the group died there but they all assumed that it would be their grave so called it Death Valley apparently!
Thank you, silver springs is my favorite place! โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

  2. Beautiful pictures! One summer as a teen I built hiking trails in the mountains, the back country ones had amazing views! I remember hiking through a field of baby wild onions and running into a massive snowbank in the middle of July!
