This year, I was lucky to be able to spend my 23rd birthday with my Fiancé, as at the time we were living in different countries. Toney was able to fly to England and spend three glorious weeks with me and my family. As a treat for both of us I booked a three day trip to Paris while he was with us.
It was the middle of March when we went to Paris and I was able to get an amazing price on the flights at £85 for both of us return & direct from Birmingham – Charles de Gaulle.
Our hotel was in a great location just under a mile from the Eiffel Tower. I probably would stay there again because it was cheap, clean and was in a great location. However the room was tiny and the weather was fairly warm and the room had no A/C available, as it wasn’t winter. Yet for the price our hotel was not too bad.
Eiffel Tower from our hotel
We arrived in Paris on a Tuesday, caught an Uber to our hotel & dropped out bags off. On our first day we walked around and explored Paris by just seeing where our feet lead us. My favorite way of seeing a new city!
Wondering the streets of Paris, admiring the beautiful architecture, something both Toney & I love. Strolling past cute little patisseries with hundreds of beautiful delicacies in the window.
The following day we woke up and had breakfast in this wonderful little cafe down the street from our hotel. We both had freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants (would be rude not to!) wish fresh eggs & toast.
We then took a stroll along the streets of Paris in aim to find the Eiffel Tower which surprisingly didn’t take us long being in such a fab location.
You can honestly spend hours wondering around the grounds & gardens along the Eiffel Tower, although there are lots of people trying to sell you things which gets annoying when there are loads of people bothering you every two seconds.
We found some gardens a mile or so from the Eiffel Tower where we sat and people watched for a while & enjoyed the scenery, yet I couldn’t tell you where we was! We left to go back to our hotel strolling casually along the streets of Paris enjoying the atmosphere. We found an Italian/American restaurant on the corner of a street near our hotel so decide to have some dinner there.
Our third day in Paris we walked to the Arc De Triomphe which was another stunning building in Paris to visit. Although the streets are very busy around that area, there are lots of shops and restaurants to visit while your in that area in Paris, which is what we did!
We had dinner in a lovely Italian restaurant along by the Arc De Triomphe then walked back towards the hotel to see the Eiffel Tower lit up.
There was so much we didn’t get to see in Paris so we will definitely be returning in the future. Although we had four days here which was a lovely break for us and we got to see a fair amount of the city (wish we had taken more pictures!).
