Yes, another wedding update! I’m sorry. But yesterday we spent the whole day with our wedding planner Sara, at Disney’s Fairytale Weddings in Orlando. We’re both in such a high following yesterday so wanted to update you all on how it went!
We arrived at 9am awaiting a day of planning yet both unsure of what to expect. We knew we would be discussing all things wedding & that we would have our tasting in the afternoon but what else was awaiting for us?
We sat in a beautifully decorated room with Sara as she went through the timeline from now until the big day. Explaining when we need to provide an exact guest count, provide payments and final decisions on everything. This really helped us get a clear picture of what needs to be done and when.
Following this we started to discuss all the juicy details! The run through of the ceremony & what music we would like played for each parties entrance. The decor for the ceremony, candles, flowers, isle runner, petals & more.
We spoke about the photography packages available and how many hours of photography we would like. Whether we want to include other packages like portrait sessions within the Disney parks too, there are so many options!
Around 11am we had our cake tasting which has to be the softest cake I’ve ever tried! We sampled, yellow, chocolate, red velvet and churro cake with the fillings which were, butter cream, hazelnut, Bavarian cream, amaretto crunch, jam and white chocolate. I’m not going to give away which flavors we have chosen or the style of cake but we have chosen to have a four tier cake with three different cake flavors and fillings for each tier. The top tier will be the same as the bottom therefore we can take it home and it will be the same flavor as we’ve had on our wedding day.
Following this we went to sample the reception food options. We walked over to the Grand Floridian where we actually got to sit inside the kitchen at our own private table!
We sampled eight reception food options with three protein entrees and one pasta entree followed by sides. The food was amazing, I couldn’t believe how good it was. There are a few items we don’t want to include in our menu so we are considering going back for a second tasting!
After the food tasting we went back over to the wedding pavilion to have a look around as Sara informed us there were no weddings going on so we could have a look inside the wedding pavilion.
The picture above is the ceremony venue at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion with no decor etc. as you can see it’s already so beautiful as a blank canvas!
The arched window with the Disney castle in the distance!
Time for a quick selfie as I had to capture the excitement.
The pictures above are from the outside of the wedding pavilion, again you can see the castle through the arch. Such a beautiful place. It felt very surreal walking around imagining I’ll be there in a white dress with my husband very soon!
So as we have no more wedding planning booked this will probably be my last wedding update for a while until closer to the big day! So I hope you enjoyed reading into a glimpse of our big day as it all comes together!
Following yesterday I now know for sure this quote will come true. In 193 days to be exact!
