Where to Honeymoon???

My fiancΓ© and I have been doing lots of research into where we should go on our honeymoon next year. If your following my blog or read some of my posts you’ll know we’re getting married at Disney World Florida in just over seven months (Ahh!).

So I thought I would share with you all where we are considering going for our honeymoon and hopefully some of you can use this info yourself or if your reading this have visited or can recommend some place similar.

We’re both in agreement that we would like somewhere relaxing, beach honeymoon rather than city, however I’ve added a city one in as it’s somewhere we both really want to go.

Our top destination which we are considering is Hawaii. I’ve read online that Maui in Hawaii is a great for relaxing but with things to do also. Lots of beaches, great food, snorkeling, hidden waterfalls (my fave!). There’s several little day trips to towns and villages to visit also. Considering travel time which would be around 10 hours.

I’ve seen lots online about Tahiti, it looks so beautiful which is why it’s in our honeymoon list. White beaches, hidden caves and waterfalls. The flight to Tahiti is around 12 hours.

St Lucia

Another beautiful island. Probably my top pick if I was choosing alone. With a volcano your able to visit along with the mud baths attached which I believe there are certain ones you can swim in. Several waterfalls, of course beautiful beaches and zip lining through the rainforest, St Lucia is definitely a must visit for me honeymoon or not. The flight is around 7 hours direct.

Italy is somewhere I’ve really wanted to visit for a while now and not to just the capital. If you check out our Bucket list you’ll see there’s several parts of Italy which we want to visit. If we chose to honeymoon through Italy I’d imagine we would start at Venice then travel over to Milan. Drive down to Florence and then Rome. Finally visit Naples and then finish off at the Amalfi coast which is a part of Italy I’ve been dying to visit.

If anyone has any suggestions of anywhere else to visit for our honeymoon or can vouch for the destinations above I’d love to read your comments!

  1. Bora bora has always been my dream vacation, so Tahiti it is! With the huts over the water and the window floors.. with the deck you walk out to from the bedroom, a fantasy honeymoon for sure! πŸ˜ŒπŸ˜‰πŸ€—πŸ·πŸŒžπŸŒžπŸŒ•πŸΎπŸ»πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŒ…β›΅οΈπŸ›³β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈπŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ’

      1. Good! We were there for my husband’s work. We then went to Greece (5 years), and Japan (4 years). Back to the U.S. after that. Italy was my favorite country for the people, culture & traveling! 🌷Christine

      2. Sorry for the late reply Christine! Been offline due to the hurricane! πŸ™ that sounds amazing! It sounds like you’ve lived an amazing life. Toney has been to Japan and really liked it and I’ve never been to Greece but would love to go, especially Santorini! Looks so beautiful 😍

  2. If you want the best, definitely Italy 🍝 I have only been to Rome, but it’s gorgeous.
There’s no beach, but if you want beautiful nature, definitely go to the west coast of Canada and especially to the cutest town Banff! πŸ™‚

  3. We honeymooned in Maui Hawaii. It was great. One thing to keep in mind (anywhere you go) is when you are going, what will the weather be then? You want to avoid hurricane season, and maybe the rainy season (or not). Maui is beautiful, we loved it. Volcanos, waterfalls, good food. Have fun choosing!

    1. Brilliant!! Thanks for letting me know all this! Very true I’ll have to research that too as I never thought of that πŸ€” thanks so much your comment was really insightful! 😁😁😘

  4. take a look at the Philippines. look at Sumilon Island, Cebu, Philippines. It is a 24-hectare coral island. it is small island that you can trek around it for only an hour. it’s declared marine sanctuary or marine protected island. no fishing allowed and the surrounding sea is an eclectic offerings of all marine life.

  5. I have been all over, and there is just something about Hawaii. It is so beautiful and there is the appeal of paradise in the US. Adventures of a busy mom lives there, so if you decide to go…I would see if she has any tips. I love Hilo…there is something so enchanting about black sand and Volcano’s.

  6. Hi Rosie! Just another idea, as some friends of mine had their honeymoon there, but a tour of the Almfi Coast looks stunning. Sorrento, Capri, just a couple of the beautiful islands. Very relaxing, and excellent food apparently, whilst also having access to some beautiful excursions. Just something to consider. ☺️

  7. I am in love with Italy (Positano <3) and St Lucia. I would also recommend Menorca in Spain. Have you considered Bali or Seychelles? So many beautiful places around the world, It is never easy to choose. I hope you find one that you both enjoy very much. K.O.
