One month blogging. My thoughts so far

It’s been exactly one month since I created & started my blog. Firstly I’d like to thank everyone who’s taken the times to follow, read, like and comment on my blog & the posts that I’ve published. I’m honored that you see something in my blog that interests you.

I came into blogging because with this new lifestyle that I have acquired I’ve been blessed with extra spare time everyday. I’ve never really read or thought about blogging until my oldest friend Jessica suggested I start one. I agreed with her that it is a good way to log things we go through or thoughts we have, similar to a journal.

So I walked (more like crawled as I had no clue what so ever what I was doing!) into blogging with the thought in my head “If I stick to it and it goes somewhere fab! If it doesn’t then no loss”.

And I still stick to that thought today. I’ve worked really hard during this time, to read through blogs, follow the ones I enjoy and can connect/relate too. Work on my own blog to bring it to a standard I’m happy with. Spend time writing posts while trying to bring out some of me into those posts too.

Along the way I’ve met people through my posts that have connected with me to share their thoughts and opinions which have all been amazingly positive so far. I’ve also made a friend too! Her name is Paula & she seems so lovely, I’m really hoping Toney & I can meet with her and her fiancé in the near future as she lives not too far away from us! I’ve put the link to her blog above so feel free to check it out.

I couldn’t believe the amount of positivity I was getting when I started blogging, it’s overwhelming and since my last post regarding hurricane Irma the well wishes have been uplifting so thank you all!

So if nothing comes from blogging at least I’ve met some wonderful people along the way & I can look back at the posts I’ve written in years to come & recap some of the memories we made during our new journey.

Before I go I’d just like to send some thoughts & prayers to those already affected by hurricane Irma and those in its path.

  2. You’re right about the positivity. I think that’s because a lot of people who comment maintain their own blogs, and they get it; they understand how much more work goes into writing a post, compared to sharing a meme (there’s nothing wrong with sharing memes by the way – It’s just a world apart from blogging)

  3. Hi Rosie. Great one month blog!👍
I’ve only been live just a week, so I am very new. I just wanted to say that I really love how your blog is laid out….very nice! I’m still getting to grips with mine. And the content within your blog is interesting. 👌

    1. Awe thanks so much! Really appreciate your comment. You’ll get to grips with it, I guess I was lucky knowing what I wanted to post about etc so I had lots of ideas. I took me about two weeks to even start posting properly!

      1. Haha excellent! Well youve done a fantastic job in month one! Yes, I have two and a half years of my journey to document, so I will be busy for a while! Eventually the lay out will look as great as yours I’m sure!! 🙂

  4. Congrats on a month blogging! I will be there in a week.
As for the hurricane, I wish you well. I remember Andrew well. 😞 I am no longer in Florida but much of my family remains there so I pray for them and you and everyone else in the path of this awful hurricane. Stay safe and just be as prepared as you can be.

    1. Thank you and to you too next week! Thanks so much I feel the same as we will all get hit I’m sure but I know we won’t be as affected at the coastal areas so I’m thankful for that but praying for those who will get hit hard. Thank you for your kind wishes ✨😘

  5. I love the look and feel of your blog. Its almost like I can hear a soft female voice behind the words. Keep up the good work. As a fellow new blogger (iv started and restarted a lot of times) I realise that blogging is a marathon and not a sprint. Its the consistency that counts rather than the inspiration. Thanks for this post.

Hope you enjoying your home in USA. I left my home in Sweden six years ago to move to the Middle east. Its a great adventure.
    Stay safe in the storm!

  8. I love your blog. And you don’t have to do it everyday if you don’t want to. Do it because YOU want to . I enjoy your posts. You give a perspective of Florida that someone who isn’t even from this country gives and it’s refreshing to see. I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts. Keep on blogging 😉

People like you that keep me wanting more ❤️

  9. Hey Rosie, I have just started blogging and read that you are studying for midwifery! I have a few friends who are nurses and I am actually in the process of studying to go back to school myself. I am not a nurse, but yeah! I am studying for the GRE. I just wrote a post about all that and I included a link/shared one of your posts about studying. I hope that is okay. If not, please let me know. I can remove it. No problem! I am still learning this whole blogging thing and want to make sure I am doing it right with the etiquette and what not! Nice running into you in the air of wifi! 🙂 hope to read from you more!

(https://cultivation365.wordpress.com/2017/10/17/finding-study-buddies-to-be-or-not-to-be/) <- that is the post I talked about.

    Have a great one!
