Hi everyone! I thought I would update you on how our wedding planning is going!

Toney & I meet with Sara and Elise, our Disney wedding planners in three weeks for our planning day, where we get a whole day to go through every little detail and also try the food and cake we would like at the wedding.

Prior to the planning day Sara & Elise have asked to fill out these huge booklets filled with certain aspects from the wedding that we would like included on our day. Filling all this out made us realize how many options there are for the day such as decor, flowers and so much more! We were asked to provide information of the flowers, decor, wedding cakes and anything else we are considering. Who knew how hard some of the decisions would be!

I’ll start with the cake! Some of the wedding cakes below are the ones we are considering. Elegant, rustic and the third both elegant and fun! As i mentioned in my previous wedding post we’ve got loads of options for flavors so we should know the type of cake after we’ve sampled some on the planning day.

Secondly I’ve been doing some research around flowers. I’m not really knowledgeable on flowers so I’ve just been looking at ones which I like that I think would go nicely with our theme.

Below are some of the extras and favors which we would like on our day. I’m really hoping we can include some of them as they will be fun memories and keep-sakes from our day too!

If anyone has used any of these ideas and worked well for your wedding or one you have attended please let me know! I would love to know if any of them are worth having or any other suggestions you may have!

P.s photos from the present Disney sent us!

  1. Just loving the 2nd cake with the fruit and the idea of the jigsaw tree, I also like the message in a bottle. It would be lovely to read all those after the first 12 months of wedded bliss.

  2. We did the cameras at each table. Even 9 years ago this was outdated technology, and it was interesting what we got back. Since I’ve seen the couple create a hashtag with their names i.e. #Mrsandmrssmith and put a message fir guests to hashtag any photos they take during the wedding. Then later you have those to save and print from. On a side note, a few years ago I found another disposable camera from our wedding. I should really get that developed and see what’s on it! Lol.

    1. Do you think the camera idea is worth doing then? Thank you for your feedback! Toney suggested the hashtag idea! I wasn’t sure where they want I.e Facebook or whatever. I’ve been the Polaroid cameras then people pin them to a board and sign etc which looks nice! ☺️

      1. I think you should do what makes sense for you. It just depends what you want from the photo experience. You’ll probably have a lot of non-useable photos with the disposable cameras due to user error, but then there will be a few unexpected keepers in there too. You just won’t have digital versions of them. Just something to think about. Super exciting to get married! Enjoy the busy process of it all as much as possible. 👍🏻😁

  3. I love the hangover kit idea, as well as the kick off your heels, these are great fun ideas! In my opinion if it’s your first wedding for both I go with the white cake and if you want some colour accent light pastels as flowers. You have some great options out there have fun on your planning .

    1. Thank you for your comment! I love those ideas too! I don’t know how we would get people’s shoe sizes for the flip flops 🙈
Yeah I’m hoping for a white cakes with some colors from our color theme in it ☺️
