Adjusting to humidity

I’ve been living in Florida a little over three months now & I feel myself starting to adjust to the vast difference in weather.

Yet surprisingly I’m finding myself missing the British weather (crazy, I know!) yes the weather.

The typical white cloudy skies with the occasional break of sun or shade of blue. Cool breeze walks, having to throw your hood up as it starts raining. Looking down at your feet trying to avoid getting wet while noticing you can see your breath.

Been brought on many vacations to the USA throughout my life and always loving the HOT weather, I’ve found myself struggling to be outside as much as I thought I would.

I imagined myself sun bathing in the back yard everyday until I turned a shade of brown I’d never reached.

However, In my defense, since I’ve been here in Florida the temperature hasn’t dropped below 88 degrees with over 80% humidity during the day. Therefore wedding planning & catching up on Netflix with the occasional day out in the heat has been life!

LOVE,

  1. Hi!! Welcome to florida!! I’ve been here for 13 years now and understand the struggle with the heat…lol!! Sometimes it’s unbearable but I love it here. I’m originally from Puerto Rico but lived most of my life in California so moving here wasn’t that much of a shock for me but it is different. I hope that you get acostume and stay in this sunny Florida! Welcome again!

  3. Hi Rosie,
I used to live in Eustis, Florida! Lived there for over 15 years and most of my family is still there. I’m now in Arizona and I will never move back because of the humidity, lol! I much prefer the dry heat – just as sunny, no sweat πŸ™‚ Enjoy your Floridian life!

    1. Hey! I’ts so nice to meet you! Ironically my favorite state is Arizona! I’m only in Florida due to my fiancΓ©. He’s from LA as seen in my latest post but were looking to move back their next year after our wedding. My mum and dad would take us on holiday to Arizona, I love the dry heat too! If you can give me some recommendations of places to go/visit there that would be fab! We have a wedding to attend there in October so will be visiting πŸ™‚
