Journey of a Lifestyle

I’ve been living in Florida a little over three months now and I feel myself starting to adjust to the vast difference in the weather. Surprisingly I’m also finding myself missing the British weather, yes the weather.

The typical white cloudy skies with the occasional break of sun or shade of blue. Cool breeze walks, having to throw your hood up as it starts raining. Looking down at your feet trying to avoid getting wet while you can see your breath as you walk.

Having been taken on many vacations to the USA throughout my life and always loved the HOT weather, I’ve found myself struggling to be outside as much as I thought I would.

I imagined myself sun bathing in the back yard everyday until I turned a shade of brown I’d never reached.

However, In my defense, since I’ve been here in Florida the temperature hasn’t dropped below 88 degrees with over 80% humidity during the day, everyday. Therefore wedding planning & catching up on Netflix and blogging with the occasional day out in the heat has been my life! I wonder if I’ll ever get fully used to the heat out here.

LOVE,

  1. Hi Rosie,
I used to live in Eustis, Florida! Lived there for over 15 years and most of my family is still there. I’m now in Arizona and I will never move back because of the humidity, lol! I much prefer the dry heat – just as sunny, no sweat 🙂 Enjoy your Floridian life!

    1. Hey! I’ts so nice to meet you! Ironically my favorite state is Arizona! I’m only in Florida due to my fiancé. He’s from LA as seen in my latest post but were looking to move back their next year after our wedding. My mum and dad would take us on holiday to Arizona, I love the dry heat too! If you can give me some recommendations of places to go/visit there that would be fab! We have a wedding to attend there in October so will be visiting 🙂

  2. Hi Rosie! Nice to meet you. I’m a retired Nurse Practitioner & a full time writer. Good luck on your wedding plans. Where are you working in Florida? I worked at UCSD in psychiatry, and live in San Diego. Wanted to make a comment to say hello! 🌺🌷🌸 Christine

    1. Hi Christine! Oh wow that’s lovely. I’m not currently working, I’ve come from England only in May. I need to take my NCLEX exam but I’m also looking to going back to university as my passion is to do midwifery.☺️

  3. Hi!! Welcome to florida!! I’ve been here for 13 years now and understand the struggle with the heat…lol!! Sometimes it’s unbearable but I love it here. I’m originally from Puerto Rico but lived most of my life in California so moving here wasn’t that much of a shock for me but it is different. I hope that you get acostume and stay in this sunny Florida! Welcome again!

    1. Thank you very much! Glad I’m not the only one who struggles. My fiancé is from California too and he also says how different the heat is, I definitely win as England is far different from Cali, haha. Thank you for saying Hello! Xo
